Delete your data
If you wrote to a business that uses Nomi, you can ask for what it keeps about you through Nomi to be deleted. This page says how that works, what is deleted, and what is kept.
How it works
- You ask the business. Send it a message from the Instagram, Facebook or WhatsApp account you wrote from, or an e-mail from the address you used, saying you want your data deleted.
You can also write to us at the address below, and we pass your request on to the business. - The business records your request in Nomi.
- Nomi's operator, who runs the service for the business, carries out the deletion by hand, within 30 days of the business recording the request.
- When it is done, the business sees it marked as done in Nomi, and can tell you. Nomi does not write to you about it.
What is deleted
- Who you are on every channel: the name the business saw, your phone number, your e-mail address and your account identifiers.
- Every message between you and the business.
- Replies, quotes and sample requests prepared for you.
- Notes and signals about your conversations.
- The conversations themselves, except what is needed to keep an order you placed.
What is kept
- Orders you placed — the items, the prices and how each order went — without your contact details or your messages. The business may be required by law to keep them.
- If you asked not to be written to, a note of that address, so it is never written to again.
- A record that you asked, and when it was done.
- The copies Meta itself holds, which you manage in your own Instagram or Facebook settings.
- Anything the business keeps outside Nomi, such as e-mails in its own mailbox. Deleting those is up to the business; ask it.
- Copies inside backups of the whole service. A backup is not changed to remove one person; your data leaves it when that backup is deleted.
